musicnote It’s no secret that 4gb, or even 8gb, are nearly enough space to hold your entire music collection. Having to pick and choose which songs to sync can be a painful process. “Karma Kameleon” or “Safety Dance”… “Bye, Bye, Bye” or “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” Struggle no more with choosing which songs to sync! Now, you can stream virtually any song onto your iPhone, as long as you have an EDGE or WiFi connection. (Yes, EDGE is fast enough).

o2According to Forbes as well as various other sources, O2 has announced that it will become the exclusive provider of the iPhone in the United Kingdom. Taking a deeper look, O2’s network is 3G with no EDGE support. Could a 3g iPhone be closer than we imagined?

Custom iPhone Ringtones: OSX

Before I get into the instructions, I must give credit where credit is due. This guide was made by speedyAZ. Because of the hard work of a couple people, “geohot”, “nightwatch” and “ziel” in particular, and the rest of the #iphone-dev crew, we have two programs and a method that make this possible. The programs are called jailbreak and iPhoneInterface. Original instructions for how to do this were provided to me by “JavaCoderEx” which I then redrafted and illustrated. I’d also like to thank the following people for helping me add the instructions that allow sync ability to remain unbroken: “chews”, “Christian”, “lunatixcoder”, “pdb” and “TkN” for pointing out this method, explaining it to me, and for tech checking these instructions numerous times to make sure they were right. This obviously makes this modification so much more worth it. Before, people gave up the ability to sync just to have a ringtone!
